MMG Tower has been designed to reduce energy consumption by optimizing Panama’s climate to its advantage. A few examples of the project’s sustainable design include:

  • Windows with energy efficient glazing that protects against thermal and infrared radiation.
  • Green roofs that avoid the ‘heat island’ effect, and capture 95% of rain water to reuse in the building.
  • Motion detection sensors in common areas, stairs, and parking garages that control illumination.
  • Emergency energy plant.
  • Elevators with a energy regeneration system.
